This year it is my honour to be invited to compete in the 2026 Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge. This is a 10,000 mile motorcycle endurance event taking place from August 2nd to August 16. Riders are unaware of the route until the event begins, cannot use digital navigation aids, and must sleep next to their motorcycles for the duration of the event.
But the event is way more than just a motorcycle challenge. It's also an opportunity for riders to grow as individuals while raising money and awareness for their individual chosen charities.
I have decided to focus my efforts on raising money for Inasmuch House, an organization that provides emergency shelter and support for women and children fleeing violence. This was a charity my father supported for many years, and I plan to continue that in his honour after his passing last year.
Funds raised go to provide emergency accommodations for women and their children escaping from abusive situations, as well as legal advice, counseling, and food/clothing, while they rebuild their lives and return to the community.
Please donate what you can to help. Every little bit counts.
