Hi all, a lot of you would be aware that this year’s show was a bit of a disaster both emotionally and financially for the very small volunteer committee. You may not be aware that we go year to year with finances, so this years gate money goes to next years paid entertainment. Unfortunately in 2025 because of the terrible weather we threw our gates open to everyone for free, so we made no money except for the very small amount our food and stall vendors paid us to be there. None of them very graciously requested a refund which we do really appreciate. We also appreciate the small amount of people who donated back their prize money that was won. But unfortunately we are still a very very long way from being able to afford any entertainment or even pay our insurance for the 2026 Show. We are intending to do a lot of fund raising this year and as we always do apply for as many grants as we can (but there is never a guarantee with grants of being successful) but we wanted to also ask anyone who has the means if they may be able to help us ease the financial burden for our 2026 Show and assist us to make it bigger than ever.
