Happy new year to our wonderful community! Each year our nipper members have a lot of fun rattling tins to raise much needed funds that support our life saving activities. This year the Apollo Bay Surf Life Saving Clubs (ABSLSC) annual fundraising day is on Friday the 2nd of January.
Did you know, ABSLSC was established in 1952 and is a 100% volunteer club that does not receive any formal government funding, we rely on membership fees and fundraising to survive. In 2024/25 our members provided a total of 4230 volunteer patrol hours overseeing an estimated 46,338 visitors to the beach. During the 2024/2025 season ABSLSC has provided accredited training for 710 Nippers, Bronze Medallions, 26 Surf Rescue Certificates and 17 CPR/First Aid certificates. The importance of these programs to the wider community cannot be underestimated.
So please, if you see our nippers around town, say hi and pop some coins in their tin. No cash no worries, other payment options will include eftpos that will be set up on a stand in the main street OR you can contribute at any time via the link on this page.
