On Sunday 13th September, 2026 our Pickleball community will once again come together for a fantastic day of fun, sport and fundraising in memory of Matt Gallagher.

This is our second annual charity Pickleball event, held in memory of Matt Gallagher while raising vital funds and awareness for people and families affected by Motor Neurone Disease (MND).

Matt was a much-loved husband to Lisa, dad to Holly-Mae, Daisy and Jack, a former professional rugby player and a great friend to so many within our local community. Although Matt sadly passed away in March 2026, his determination, positivity and commitment to helping others continue through the Foundation that bears his name.

Established by Matt and his family, the Matt Gallagher Foundation has now raised more than £1.6 million, supporting over 100 families across the West Midlands with home adaptations, specialist equipment and care, while continuing to raise awareness of MND.

Our Pickleball community is proud to play a small part in continuing Matt's legacy.

If you're a Pickleball player and would like to take part in the event, simply join the Matt Gallagher Foundation Charity Day 2026 WhatsApp group and make your £15 contribution via this GoFundMe page.

Once you've donated, just pop a quick message in the WhatsApp group to let us know you've paid. We'll then confirm your place and allocate you to one of the teams.

If you're unable to take part but would still like to support the event, we'd be hugely grateful for a donation. Whether you're sponsoring a friend, a team or simply supporting the cause, every contribution, no matter how big or small, makes a real difference.
