Support William's Journey to the 2025 Summer Deaflympics in Tokyo
Hi, I'm William, a deaf para-athlete from Western Australia. I am honoured to have been selected to represent Australia at the 2025 Summer Deaflympics in Tokyo (15–26 November 2025)—an elite international event for deaf athletes worldwide.
My Events:
- 1,500m
- 5,000m
To compete, I need to raise $6,500 to cover travel, accommodation, competition fees, and team uniforms. Additionally, I must fund my own meals during the trip.
About Me
I have been passionate about running since age 12, starting with Parkrun in Dawesville. Since then, I have consistently trained and competed, earning multiple national records, including:
- Australian T01 U20 record for 1,500m (4:18.55)
- T01 U20 and Open records for 3,000m (9:09.14)
- National gold & silver medals in Cross-Country (Para discipline, 2023 & 2024)
Despite being fully deaf while training and competing without Cochlear Implants, I continue to train to push my limits.
