2025 Melbourne to Canberra walk for awareness and change

Donation protected
Hi guys, it’s Alan from Iwalkformensmentalhealth
This year will be my 5th walk, previous 4 charity walks I raised $78k for Beyond Blue but this year im doing things a bit differently!

I’m preparing for my next walk An inspiring journey from Melbourne to Canberra in October/November 2025, which will conclude at Parliament House.
This mission is deeply personal. I have experienced the devastating impact of suicide and mental health struggles first hand having lost close family members one being my Father who sadly took his own life 5 weeks before i was born and myself who struggle with my own mental health on a daily basis this pain drives my passion and commitment to making a difference and reaching others who may be suffering in silence.

This year, 30% of money raised is to give to Gaz Wright to provide access to 9D Breathwork sessions for those dealing with mental health issues, complex trauma, PTSD, and more.
Hope Cartel, is all about holistic healing and personal growth right here in melbourne.

20% will be donated to Troy Koerntjes at Complete health Geelong. This money will help fund his free programs that he provides to the local community.

50% I’ve decided to use some funds to assist my walk to Canberra, and with what’s left over after those expenses I’d love to start my own charity as you guys know this is something I’m extremely passionate about.

My walk will have me finish out the front of Parliament House where a powerful display of boots for men's mental health awareness. I proudly support this incredibly important event, associated with the Zerosuicide Community Awareness Program, to highlight a devastating reality – the alarmingly high rate of male suicide in Australia. Each pair of boots laid on the lawns of Parliament House represents a life lost, a man gone too soon.
What we’re truly trying to shine a light on is that men's mental health often gets overlooked, and the current approaches aren't always working. They believe in fostering open conversations and pushing for better, more tailored support systems for men in situational distress. It's about raising awareness, honoring those we've lost, and advocating for real change so that every man knows he's not alone and has access to the help he needs.

please guys every cent donated will really go a long way and is greatly appreciated beyond words

Alan ( your walking bogan) making change one step at a time!
