While you enjoy another great summer of Bowen Golf, it’s a perfect time to remember that this course was built by and is sustained by club members and supporters like you.
Now, after almost 20 years of wear and tear, the course, facilities and equipment need upgrading and repairs. And while the golf course operations are turning a profit, we aren’t generating the surpluses we need to tackle some of the expensive items in front of us.
Things like:
- Pump and irrigation system replacement
- Bridge repairs on #7 and to the maintenance yard
- Lucas Lake (our reservoir) maintenance and repairs
- Greens equipment upgrades and repairs
- Golf cart fleet improvements and path repair
To meet these and other pressing needs, the Board launched the 2025 Bowen Golf Capital Campaign. We set a goal of raising $500,000 by the end of August and we are more than halfway there. But now we are asking for everyone’s support.
Please consider making a contribution today. Although we will be thankful for any and all amounts, because of administration and processing costs we have set a minimum contribution of $100. Because we are not a charity, your contributions are not eligible for tax receipts. Deadline for contributions is August 31.
We are standing on the shoulders of our founders who had a vision to create a golf course for all on Bowen. Low annual playing fees, no waits for tee times, free golf for juniors, a place for older adults to stay active and connected. These are just some of the benefits we all enjoy — and with your help, we will continue to enjoy for years to come.
