2024 Pillow Pets for Harborview!
Donation protected
We are the Strode Family! On July 2, 2011 our daughters were burned in a fire at our Washington State home. Brooklyn was 2 at the time and was discharged with 2nd degree burns the next day. But our 4 year old daughter Addie was life-flighted to Harborview Medical Center with full thickness burns to her hands and face and was on a ventilator for weeks. She received skin grafts and was finally able to come home 48 days later. During this time we felt nothing but love and support from the staff of Harborview. They supported us through the unimaginable. Every year we honor July 2nd by giving the Burn ICU staff coffee for a year, lunch and cupcakes and donate enough Pillow Pets for each pediatric burn patient that comes through the doors of Harborview. This is the anniversary of the worst day of our lives and we choose to give back and celebrate it! A little addition to expenses is that we will be making a little card for each Pillow Pet that will share Addie’s story and talk about our favorite place for burn survivors…Camp Eyabsut!
Thank you all!!!
xoxo
