Funds raised from the Caroline County Polar Bear Plunge will go to:

1) Families in need during the holidays. These are families of students that attend local elementary schools. At Thanksgiving, a meal is provided and at Christmas a meal and gifts are provided for the entire family.

2) Two $1500 Scholarships for Caroline High School Seniors.

3) Caroline’s Promise- money used for student outreach and scholarships

4) The Caroline YMCA ( Bright Beginnings: money to help get school supplies and clothes for children in need before the school year)

5) St. Mary’s of the Annunciation Catholic Church (Food Pantry)

6) Wright’s Chapel United Methodist Church (Emergency funds and heating for those in need)

7) Habitat for Humanity (money for home build projects)

8 ) Paws for Purple Hearts (Money to help with training dogs that are paired with military veterans)
