2024 Almshouse Creek 4th of July Aerial Display
Donation protected
Many of you enjoy the aerial display over the waters of Almshouse Creek held each year to celebrate Independence Day. Over the years, the length and quality of the show have continually increased as evidenced by the increasing spectator attendance.
The total annual cost of the event is now over $15,000 per year. Historically, this cost has primarily been supported by four families with smaller contributions by many within the community. In addition, it takes a team of individuals to set up and produce the show, all of which volunteer their time.
Many of the spectators who have enjoyed the show over the years have asked how they can contribute. As such, we’ve elected to set up this go fund me page to accept donations, which will enable us to continue improving the show. Any donation amount is significantly appreciated and 100% of funds collected go directly to supporting the display. *Please note that this year (2024), the show will take place on Thursday, July 4th with a rain date of July 5th.
Please be aware this display is produced in complete compliance with Maryland law. Each year, we secure permits from the Maryland Fire Marshall’s Office as well as the United States Coast Guard. Everything is transported to the launch site in compliance with the United States Department of Transportation’s hazardous materials laws. The Maryland Fire Marshall also performs an on-site inspection the day of the event to validate the safety perimeter, ensure all permits have been secured and the general safety of the launch area.
Thank you all!
