RVA Community Fridges is a local mutual aid group ran by BIPOC woman working hard to provide 24/7 FREE FOOD fridges to our communities! We aim to deter food insecurity and apartheids, as well as provide education on how people can grow their own food and cook food items frequently donated to the community fridges from our partners. In the 2022-2023 season, we are looking to finalize our first 12 community fridges, set up more community fridges, establish sturdy overhead/pantry set ups with all fridges, acquire a temperature controlled storage unit, purchasing supplies to grow our own food in our garden plots to stock the fridges, and get a building location! These funds will also be used for our usual needs such as groceries, food rescues, materials for fridge paintings/grand stockings, and apparel. We want to thank each and every one of you who donates and shares this page so others can become aware of the RVA Community Fridges and our mission!
