2022 Homeless Youth Backpack Drive SF

 

Hello Everyone! This is the annual Backpack drive for the Volunteers of America Homeless Youth Shelter. 

I am hosting a Fundraiser for the homeless youth in Sioux Falls. We are having a Backpack drive to get school supplies and other necessities such as toothbrushes toothpaste etc. The Augustana Football Team and Augustana Wrestling team will be assembling the backpacks and delivering them to Volunteers of America (Dakota) to then be distributed to the Homeless youth in need. Did you know that 40% of the homeless in the United States are under 18?? (Statistics ) Another Stat... "Over 50% of young people in shelters and on the streets report that their parents told them to leave or knew they wer ae leaving and didn't care" (More info)

Let's be the change agents and let us make Sioux Falls a Community that cares for our youth! The official event date will be held at Embrace Church on February 1st.

If you would like to donate physical items at the Elmen Center between 8am-7pm at the front desk!
