2022 Annual DWC Thanksgiving Donation Drive

Since 2016 we have embraced a set of values which help us lead and voluntarily give to those around us. Service, Leadership, Respect, Community, Faith, and Family are what makes a "Dude" Who Cares. We refer to this sets of values as The Dude Code.

Our Charity began with the idea of helping our members of our local community with three dudes and a son. As we expanded our community, all of our younger Dudes had grown enough to help us in our efforts. Our first year of Thanksgiving collections raised 50 whole turkey dinners. Our second year had a result of 100 turkey dinners. Our third year we raised over 220 complete turkey dinners and over $4,000 worth of food and donations to Martha's Pantry. By the time of our fourth year we started to need to measure our contributions in terms of tons of food delivered. In 2021, we once again set a new record in donations and were able to provide over 2.5 tons of turkeys and a surplus of accompanying food supplies.

Every year we are continuously amazed by the generosity of friends, colleagues, families, businesses and members of the community. Due to our continued exponential growth since our initial campaign in 2015, we are pleased to announce that in 2022, we have now become a registered 501c3 non profit organization.

Consequently, for 2022 we hope that this status will enable our DWC campaign to once again surpass last year's achievements as we have committed to donate at least 350 complete Turkey dinners. It is only through the generous donations received and the volunteering of our members and fellow Dudes that we are able to help those who may not be as fortunate as many of us this season. It is only through our combined generous actions and donations that hundreds of families are fed and we can continue to provide for our community.
