It is with great excitement that the Maine Mini Golf Masters returns this August 21st. Our goal? Raise money for worthy causes that align with our committee's mission. Coming out of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are also hoping to bring the community and local businesses back together for a day of fun!
Our recipients this year are:
1) Sarah's House of Maine. The mission of Sarah’s House is to provide temporary lodging in a comfortable “home away from home” environment to cancer patients (and their caregivers) receiving treatments at Cancer Care. We serve a vast area for cancer treatment, and convenient lodging is essential for these people. At Sarah’s House, we provide not only an affordable place to stay, but a supportive and caring atmosphere centered around hope and healing. Referred guests are served with integrity and respect and without regard to financial resources. To read more about their story, please watch the video and/or visit https://www.sarahshouseofmaine.org/
2) Penquis Valley Athletics. Located in a rural, poverty-stricken area, Penquis has a long-standing history of athletic achievement. That is highlighted primarily by success on the basketball court. With side hoops that are literally falling apart, we will be using a portion of funds raised to help buy safe, new hoops for the gymnasium. As we know, basketball brings people together in small towns, especially during the harsh winter months. We are hoping that continues and are excited to help give back to the community that raised us.
