2020 Diamonds in the Rough Fundraiser

Diamonds in the Rough is a Non-profit organization.
We aim to empower future generations in the mining industry by fostering the development of women and youth.
We will increase the acceptance and promotion of women in the industry across the globe to ensure it is diverse, inclusive and sustainable.
This year, we will be doing a number of industry presentations as well as youth engagement sessions. These will aim to share what people can do to support women within the mining industry, encourage others to seek careers in mining and mine exploration, and give usable examples of how women and men can support each other in the workplace.
As well, DITR will be holding a training camp this September for 8 women. These women will then go on to compete in the 2020 International Mines Rescue Competition in West Virginia, USA.
So far, we have been breaking glass ceilings for women and gaining the respect of our fellow male mine rescuers. We have also empowered women we have trained and women throughout the industry to speak up, gain control, and rise as leaders. Confidence and skill levels have also increased.
Please support us in our endeavors!!
