2018 Stollery Mission to Sudan

Since 2016, a heart surgery team from Stollery Children's Hospital travels from Edmonton, AB, Canada to Sudan to perform open heart surgeries in children with complex heart disease in Sudan.
Sadagaat USA, a US based non profit organization, is raising funds to purchase airline tickets for the heart surgery team; who are scheduled to travel to Sudan in Jan/Feb 2018.
In addition to the surgeons, the team includes pediatric intensivists, pediatric cardiologists, Operating Room and Intensive Care Nurses.
In addition to providing much needed heart surgery in poor children (who otherwise would not get the surgery), the visit allows for transfer of pediatric intensive care skills between Canada and Sudan.
