Our daughter Maddie just turned one April 18, 2018. Just a day after her birthday we went to the eye doctor for a lazy eye hoping to walk out with a cute, yet in indestructible pair of glasses. The news we received that day however was a parents worst nightmare. They doctor saw a mass in her eye. We are now on the mission of treating and curing her of this Retinoblastoma. We are still working out which route to take but either route will leave us with a great deal of financial stress. We are creating this page to help alleviate some of the stress of cost of treatments. Please don’t feel like you must donate but if you can pray for her and our family and for safe healing!UPDATE: we decided to try the IAC in New York. We have completed 3 rounds of Chemo and 2 laser treatments to the tumor. We are still watching for new growth and will need to be seen every 5 weeks for atleast the next six months before they space them out. She’s at risk for regrowth until age 5-6 so they will continue to monitor her until the risk decreases.
I am also pregnant with her her little brother due in December. Even though her genetic test came back negative for a mutation there is always a risk for error. So they will need to monitor him for the first 28 months of his life to ensure he does not develope RB as well.
We are looking at numerous flights flights and piling up the doctor bills. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!! Thank you!
