Celebrating Black History Month!
It's time to celebrate The Henri Harper "Community Soulfood Dinner on Friday, February 16th, 2018.
Soul food potluck:
A time to celebrate Southern cooking and a way for our community to celebrate and experience black history!
Anyone who has a love and curiosity for the food can try their hand at preparing Smothered chicken, Fried chicken, Smothered Steak,Spaghetti, Greens, Macaroni & Cheese, Fried Cabbage, Fried Corn; Black eyed peas, Dressing,Grits and Shrimp, Cornbread, Pound Cakes and Sweet Potato Pies.
A request for funds is needed to purchase food. If you don't desire to cook a meal please consider donating towards the cost of the food.
This event will feed 200+ people in the Iowa City Community.
Foods needed:
Chicken,Ribs,Ham, Meatballs, Spaghetti. Mac & Cheese, Collard Greens, Fried Cabbage, Dressing, Black Eyed Peas, Pino Beans, Oxtail Soup, Green Beans, Corn & Cornbread.
