Giving the gift of Literacy is an important part of my work with Usborne Books & More. Twice a year I run book drives to get books into the hands of foster kids, here in WA and nationally! When I heard what Comfort Cases is doing for Foster Children all over the country, I knew that running a book drive to help them fill their mission was a MUST! Their mission is #nomoretrashbags! The challenge of being placed in foster care is hard enough on a child, they should NOT have that coupled with the feeling of carrying their belongings in a trash bag - what does that say to them?! Comfort Cases is committed to not only eliminating the trashbags and replacing with REAL bags/suitcases, but also with filling them with NEW comfort items like pajamas, a stuffed friend, and a high-quality BOOK! That is where we come in...we have the BEST books and ALL kids deserve to own them. Book ownership tells a child they are smart, worthy, and that life is full of possibility.

All donations will be matched by 50% from Usborne Books & More. My commissions will cover any fundraising fees and to purchase MORE books.

My personal goal is to put at least 200 books into 200 Comfort Cases for 200 foster kids!! All donations will be matched by the UBAM Literacy for a Lifetime program. That means a $25 donation puts a high quality book into 3 comfort cases, a $75 donation fills nine cases! Will you help me to reach these kids in partnership with this amazing organization?
