Help My Dad CLEAN UP Marwan Motors After a Devastating Fire
Hi everyone,
My name is Rania, I’m reaching out with a very heavy heart.
A few days ago, my dad’s garage Marwan Motors in Plumstead went up in flames. In just minutes, the business he has spent 20 years building was destroyed by a fire . Seeing everything he worked so hard for reduced to ashes has been heartbreaking for our whole family.
What makes this even more devastating is that my dad had no insurance. He never imagined something like this could happen. Everything inside the garage was completely destroyed, all his tools, machinery, equipment, materials, and even several cars that were inside were burnt. The shutters were badly damaged and can no longer be used properly, so they now need complete replacement.
The garage is currently unsafe and requires a full professional cleanup, including clearing debris and removing the burnt vehicles before any rebuilding can begin. Without insurance, every single cost falls entirely on him.
My dad’s story is one of hard work and dignity.
When he came to this country, he refused to take anything from the government. He believed in earning his own way, giving back, and contributing to society. He has always pushed himself and encouraged others to work hard, stay honest, and build a life through effort and integrity. Always taught me this hard work mindset and has driven me. He has always been there for people NEVER to ask for help or support but I believe the strongest people ask for help when it’s too heavy to handle.
For two decades, he has served the Plumstead community with pride and honour. He’s the kind of person who stays late to help someone get back on the road, who fixes things for people who can’t afford it, who gives more than he ever takes. He has always shown up for others even when no one shown up for him.
Now he’s the one who needs help.
We are hoping to raise £5,000 to cover:
- the massive cleanup costs,
- removal of burnt cars,
- removal of the burned roof,
- and any other damages that was caused.
