We are embarking on a heartfelt journey to create the dedicated space for our Czech and Slovak communities in the Boston area.

For over 80 years since sale of the “Sokol” in South Boston after WWII, our community has lacked a place to gather, learn, and celebrate our rich heritage.

The pandemic further highlighted this need, as we struggled to find the venues for our weekend language schools, Czech school of T. G. Masaryk and Slovak school of M. R. Štefánik.

Our vision is to establish a cultural and heritage center where our children can learn the language, music and traditions that define us. This center would also serve as a hub for events, a library and a safe place to store or cherished folk costumes for harvest fest ( Dožinky), St. Nicholas day (Mikuláš).

With 46 children in the Czech School and 18 in the Slovak School , the time has come to make this dream a reality.

We are aiming to raise $333,333 to secure a space that will strenthen our community for generations to come. Thanks to generosity of Estera and Vladislav Mlch, who have pledged to match the first $10,000 in donations , every contribution will have double the impact.

Please consider donating $22 in honor of our 22nd anniversary. Your support will help us build a future where our culture thrives. Together, we can make history.

Notes. : A group of our members celebrated Ester’s 55th Bday via Zoom in 2020 and raised $1650. She did not accept it but matched it so 3,300.00 became the birthstone and foundation of our future place. "Czech and Slovak Cultural center
