2 Young Girls need help after mom's sudden death
Donation protected
Two weeks ago, Margarita Ramirez was seemingly healthy, working at her long-time job with our family, and had just returned from settling her oldest daughter Mercy into her dorm at UC Berkeley (on a full ride scholarship).
One week ago, Margarita was hospitalized briefly for what was thought to be “pneumonia” which rapidly proved to be Stage 4 metastatic stomach cancer. She passed away only 3 days later, her two daughters by her side.
Margarita was an exemplary mother, under the most difficult of circumstances. An immigrant at a very young age, far away from her parents and family members, Margarita was determined to make sure her daughters would have every opportunity possible. A victim of spousal abuse, with two young children to raise & support completely on her own, she dedicated herself completely to her daughters. Mercy (18) and Marlena (16) are both brilliant students and testaments to their mother’s love and determination.
These girls must not only survive, but thrive. They need our help to continue the stellar path Margarita set them upon. Please be generous in giving your support to these girls who are already on their ways to becoming the shining stars Margarita always dreamed of.
