Help a 2 year old and her mamma get by
Donation protected
Prior to the separation from her ex in 2023, my best friend Emily faced various forms of abuse, one of which is financial abuse. She currently shares custody for her baby girl, Ximena (2 yrs old), and does not receive any outside financial support for Ximena. She would never ask for money, but that's why I’m here.
If you know Emily personally and find just that one paragraph to be a surprise, know that these things are not easy to write about, but it is the truth.
My girl is strong, intelligent, and very competent. She's learned to be a responsible adult since her mother's passing in 2013. She has been getting by with the paychecks she earns herself from her full time job and is doing what she legally can to get out of an absurd amount of CC debt that has wrongfully been placed under her name, as well as fight for what her daughter needs.
Ximena is a spunky girl who loves what most toddlers do: mini mouse, Bluey, dancing and singing in English and Spanish, throwing herself onto the grass, running on playgrounds, cuddling with her teddy bear Mr. Frijoles, coloring, home cooked meals (maybe not all toddlers are the best eaters but she is!) and snuggling with mama. She deserves the best and her mom Emily gives 110% of her energy to give her just that...but at this point I know Emily would be working even more and exhaust herself if she doesn't get support from others. Again...she wouldn't ask for this herself.
Ximena is doing ok with all these changes that her mom needs to endure, but with your support, Ximena will have a mamma who has a little more peace, energy, and joy in her steps. This is a major understatement: it's been difficult but by God's grace my girls are hanging on.
Know that any amount you give would never be misused or wasted. Every penny will go to her baby girl, God as our witness. Funds would go straight to pay medical bills (young kids get sick often and insurance dont cover it all), childcare, food, clothes, diapers (potty training in progress), and other basic expenses that arise.
We ask your prayers as you decide to give any amount.
I thank you for reading.
Thank you for considering.
And if you do...thank you for giving.
Love, her best friend,
