Volunteer work in Ghana - Changing Lives
Donation protected
Hi
My name is Ava Murphy and I’m 15 years old living in Dublin. This summer, my mum Suzanne and I, are going to small village in Ghana called Abenta as volunteers with a charity called "Village by Village" for two weeks. Volunteering has always been a passion of mine but because of my young age it has hindered me in doing so, however this is a massive opportunity to help others who are in desperate need.
Village by Village is a charity, with its mission “Is to reduce the needless suffering and deaths of children living in poverty in remote rural African villages”. The village we will be working in is called Abenta. Abenta has very poor sanitation and lacks hygiene. There is very basic education as the primary school is falling down. I will be actively participating in building water wells , a primary school and school toilets and mum will be working on a health clinic which will serve the surrounding area.
This is a very poor village and living conditions are very poor. We will be living in this village with the locals. Here is a great video that shows you Abenta and how we will be helping.

With the help of some generous donations , mum and I, along with other volunteers, can make a massive impact on the lives of the children in Abenta,
We would appreciate your support, no matter how small, to help us reach our target for Abenta.
thanks Ava and Suzanne x
