Feeding The Frontlines

As some of you may know, my aunt was diagnosed with COVID-19 last week and is in the ICU on a respirator at Johns Hopkins. Although there is nothing we can do to help my aunt, we are so appreciative to the doctors, nurses and all medical personnel who are taking such good care of her and so many others like her. Because of this, my family wanted to give back to the people who are taking care of all of us and raise money to donate meals to them. It’s a small deed in comparison to what they are doing for us, but I hope it will let them know that they have a community of people behind them that are supporting them. It is bigger than just a meal. It is a way to show the immense amount of support and love we all have for everyone on the frontlines. I want to start with donating to the ER and ICU at Suburban Hospital, where my mom works and my aunt was first treated, and Johns Hopkins, where my aunt is currently. If I raise enough money I will donate meals to other hospitals in our area as well. No amount of money is too small and every little bit will help to give a hot meal to the people who are risking their lives everyday to save ours.
