Baby Jazlyn

My little sister’s name is Mariah and she is pregnant with her very first baby girl. Yes, a lot of people get pregnant and have kids, but this is her fourth time getting pregnant and only the first time she will be able to give birth.
It’s been a very rough road with her trying to keep her babies to full term and only presented with unanswered questions as to why she had three devastating miscarriages before.
She found herself in a deep depression with the belief that she would never know what it’s like to be a mother or raise a family. Until by Gods grace, she got pregnant once again and quickly sought out a doctor that held the key to carrying her child full term.
The Doctor put her on several types of treatments immediately to see if something would work and finally something did. Turns out she has Thrombophilia, which causes blood clots and abnormal blood flow to the uterus therefore causing her miscarriages.
As a treatment she takes a blood thinning medication called Clexane, which is very expensive, and injects it into her stomach every night to prevent her from yet another miscarriage. She trusted her intuition, and thank God she did, because the world is about to meet her first baby girl ever, June 9th, baby Jazlyn.
Unfortunately, COVID-19 struck the world and has been forced to stop in its tracks. Like many others her and her husband, were forced to close their business doors leading them to even more financial difficulties.
It's difficult enough for a first time mother to-be to miss out on having a proper welcoming of her child with a baby shower, not just to celebrate, but to have family and friends help out with a few basic needs such as diapers and baby essentials to help ease the transition, but on top of that option being taken away there is the cost of the birth to consider.
Without having the proper insurance and being a foreigner in another country she has to pay for her doctor, his staff and the hospital stay in a private hospital. In Brazil the public hospitals are below standard and overrun by COVID-19 cases and suspicion. Making a public hospital birth a scary and unsafe option. Which brings a lot of costs at once.
Considering their business doors are closed this has become a bigger financial worry than expected. Their hospital needs and a few essentials to welcome their baby girl, are the only thing they are worrying about and of course having a COVID-19 free birth.
We are all well aware that not only they are suffering from the lack of income due to a global shut down but she is also long from home, close family and friends and she needs some loving support right now. Even if you don’t donate I appreciate the time you’ve spent reading this.
If you can only donate this link to someone else that would be enough I swear! Thank you so much, please stay safe and please if you could at minimum just pass this message around. We love you, you’re not in this alone, God Bless you!
