Reparations for Juanita

Donation protected
Juanita was rescued from the government's cruel child internment camps by our law firm in our continuing fight against the regime's terror policies at the border. We freed Juanita and personally delivered her to her family after a bitter fight with the government almost two years ago. We are now raising funds to help her and her family cope with the trauma inflicted on them by the White House. 8-year-old Juanita and her father traveled from Guatemala to the United States in April, 2018. They were swiftly separated and Juanita’s father was deported leaving Juanita in an alien world by herself interned at a camp in Texas. This little girl endured a separation of 6 months. She cried every time she spoke with her parents which was once or twice a week for 10 minutes. She spoke only Q’anjob’al, a Mayan dialect, which made things extremely difficult and traumatic for her. Returning to her home country was a relief for Juanita and her parents, but they endure many hardships as they live in extreme poverty in Guatemala, along with the trauma of the separation. The family is in debt and her father often does not earn enough to make ends meet. The family cannot pay for her schooling. We are requesting your support to help Juanita’s family pay their debt, Juanita's continued schooling, and to provide the family with a bit of relief from the grinding poverty they endure. All funds raised will be forwarded to the child's family.
