Stop Hunger & Stop The Spread

Donation protected
The novel coronavirus, Covid-19 has ravaged through our world, states and communities. Our healthcare workers, hospitals, first responders and essential workers are under attack day after day in an effort to stop the spread of this deadly virus. There is a large community of people who have been forgotten during this pandemic. Most undocumented workers have no choice but to continue to work during this crisis, which puts themselves, their families and the public at great risk of spreading the virus. They have zero assistance, which leaves them without a choice because they have to feed their children and provide the basic necessities for their families. They are NOT included in the CARES ACT stimulus package and are not able to stay home. Also, since a lot of these workers are day laborers and non-essential construction has been stopped in the states of NJ and NY, things are about to get worse. This is completely INHUMANE and UNJUST during this time of dire need. They are forced to either take their children to work with them or leave them home alone, which exposes their kids to great danger. A lot of these workers pay taxes, clean our hospitals & keep our economy going strong. We would financially collapse without them. This is not a time for politics, it’s a time for HUMANITY. Since this pandemic began, I have been desperate to find a way to give back to those that most need it. As a mother, I can’t imagine my children going hungry or having their only meal in school taken away from them. If our government won’t feed them, we have to! If we want to stop the spread of this deadly virus, we have to encourage EVERYONE, including undocumented workers, to stay home! This can only happen if we help them feed their children. Let’s all come together to feed our brothers and sisters! If you are a parent, please find it in your heart to give whatever you can. Any amount will help. Please note: The CARES act allows taxpayers to deduct up to $300 in charitable donations from their taxable income for donations made in 2020. ... Taxpayers will be able to claim the deduction on their tax forms next year and won't have to go through the process of itemizing it. I understand that this is a very difficult financial time and if you do can not donate, please do your part and share via all of your social networks! God bless you and stay safe. Jane Batista
