My husband and I has been feeding and homeless every Sunday for the last 8 years. We have been blessed to share humbling life changing experiences and it has transformed our life in many ways. Perhaps, the most important lesson learned during this times has been the opportunity to be a helping hand to those that life, circumstances , drugs, alcohol, abusive parents or relationships, mental illness among so many other unimaginable circumstances have taken them to live in the streets with no one to turn to. Many times I have heard insensitive people say they are there because its their choice. But , after all these years, i know its takes more than a choice to end up in the streets. I have always tried to not ask for financial help, but these are special circumstances, and it has become a little overwhelming to do it all by myself. For this reason , I ask my friends and associates to give me a helping hand to be able to do a little bit more. A group of my friends have come together and we will be providing 300 hundred meal from our own money to the homeless, and others that find themselves with no way to turn to get a meal for them or their kids. The government bill will only help those that have lost their jobs, specially those that do not have a legal status in this country. All those immigrants will be left in the shadows and will not benefit in anyway. I feel obligated to do something to help them feed themselves and there families. Im not asking for large sums of money. 1,2,3,4,5$ will help us get them water, drinks and hopefully get enough to feed more than our goal that is 300 for now. But i would be over the moon if i can help 3000. Im counting with your help.
