Employees of Velocity Wings and Social House Kitchen & Tap, In just a week, we have been brought to our knees by a global pandemic. As people, as families, as teams and as human beings we have not seen anything like this. We have laid off almost 100 employees as we FIGHT to stay open to serve our communities in Loudoun, Fairfax and Prince William Counties. It has crippled us, but we will not give up. Our owner, Jim Speros is doing everything he can to keep our restaurants open and take care of all of the employees, he has offered to feed every single employee lunch and dinner during the quarantine and today, he generously offered to MATCH DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR every dollar that we are able to raise through this gofundme. We are a team of pretty awesome people. Our company culture is rooted in community giveback, we host Spirit Nights, we sponsor community sports, we LOVE the communities we have served, are serving and will continue to serve through this crisis. However, many of our employees now have no way to provide for their families, their children or themselves so we are asking our communities to PLEASE help those of us who have nowhere to go and no job to attend to. We promise to do our best to stay open and once this is over we will rise up – stronger and better for having gone through this TOGETHER and we will serve you. We will serve our communities even more than ever and we will pay your kindness forward… every day. 100% of the proceeds of this GoFund me will go to our laid off employees and Mr. Speros will match 100% of the donations.
