I was 4 weeks from completing my License Practical Nursing Program and was diagnosed with stage 3 Triple Negative Breast Cancer. I had to take an emergency medical leave of absence to fight cancer. I went through IV chemotherapy from May 2019 until August 2019. Had 2 surgeries, one September 16, 2019 then October 14, 2019. I then did six weeks of intensive radiation, and now I’m on an oral chemotherapy for six months. As you know while you’re going through treatment, the bills don’t stop.
