Hi, I'm Ian and I'm going to travel from Belfast to Dublin on foot. I'm doing it as part of an event organised by Atlas running on 27th March 2020. It starts at the Crown Bar Belfast and ends at St James Gate Dublin (107 miles). There is a 36 hour cut off time. At this moment in time there are 31 people attempting to do it this year. As its something I don't do every week (or month or year or ever) I've decided to do it for charity and I've chosen PIPS Downpatrick to help raise money for them to provide support for those who are feeling down or suicidal. This is without doubt one of the toughest things I have ever done both physically and mentally. Even the training for it is very challenging. I would say that everyone has experienced bad mental health at one stage in their life even if you realise it or not. I control mine by being active so no better way to raise money by attempting this challenge.
