Our Bella Hope Evans

On 13.01.2020 our precious little girl, Bella Hope Evans was born peacefully sleeping. We are making this gofundme in honour of our Bella, to the Birmingham Women’s Hospital, to supply them with more cuddle cots. This will give other parents and families the opportunity to spend, the best quality time with their babies. A cuddle cot is a cooling mattress that stop the baby’s body deteriorating. These cuddle cots cost £1,500 each. Our Story: In August 2019 I found out I was pregnant with Bella, 6 months into the pregnancy we started experiencing complications which led to us meeting our Bella earlier than expected sleeping peacefully. Bella was born at 00:19am on Monday 13th January 2020, and wasn’t the only sleeping baby born that morning. This led to Bella not being able to have use of a cuddle cot due to them already being used. Therefore she was placed on ice blocks to keep her as cool as which led to her deteriorating a lot quicker, meaning I wasn’t able to spend as much quality time with her. However, if Bella had the use of a cuddle cot from the beginning we would’ve had a lot more quality time with our little girl, this is why the need of a cuddle cot is necessary in situations like this. The women’s hospital did everything they could to ensure we had as much special time with Bella and these cuddle cots are on a first come first serve basis so it was just unfortunate for Bella that she didn’t get one. So we would like to do this gofundme on behalf of the Birmingham Women’s Hospital to help them increase their number of cuddle cots, even if it’s just by 1. This will at least help one more family keep their baby close to them for as long as possible. Bella was our first baby and getting to meet, even hold her for as long as we did was a very special and precious time for us. We would love it if her memory could live on in the Abbey Suite where she was born from this gofundme by helping other babies that are born sleeping just like she was.
