Ju’s 50th for 500 Acts of Kindness

I’m going to be 50 on 25th Feb! A few people have asked if there’s anything I’d like. As many of you know, I help run 500 Acts of Kindness, an ace online thing where we give away £500+ a week to individuals, families, organisations who desperately need it. And there is so much need. From refugees in need of phone credit to people struggling to pay for a loved one’s funeral, from paying towards new wheelchairs to replacing stolen bikes, from furnishing emergency housing for DV survivors to paying rent while people undergo psychiatric care, from stocking food banks to sending families for a needed break, this little group has been eye opening and soul replenishing. In the last year we have given away over £30k. It makes me very happy indeed. I don’t need anything, I’m so lucky. But having more in our coffers to keep being able to do what we do every week is the best present I could hope for.
