Honoring our Veterans. The Ebenezer M.E. Cemetery in Pleasant Twp., Galloway, OH is the final resting place for some of our veterans from several wars dating back to the Revolutionary War. This cemetery also holds veterans that served in the Civil War, Spanish-American War and WWII. My goal is to fund raise for an iron arch with the name of the cemetery and the representative war veteran medallions within the design. The restored entryway would also entail a new brick paver entry and landscape beautification. I have been voluntarily enhancing and maintaining the landscape beautification of this 1800's cemetery for the last 30 years to honor the Veterans who are buried there. I would like you to help me to create this Honor Arch Entry for all that walk through or drive by this hallowed ground. Thank you to Hidden Creek Landscape Co. for the brickwork and Adept Products for help with the Iron Arch. V&S Galvanizing generously galvanized and powder coated the Honor Arch and Oakland Nurseries and Kurtz Bros. have helped with some plants and mulch. I appreciate the Future Farmers of America student volunteers for their help and Pleasant Township Trustees for allowing me to spearhead this meaningful and everlasting legacy project. This is for our Veterans that fought for our freedom so many years ago. Donate now and the work can be completed in time for you to walk through this memorial archway and entry with me on Memorial Day 2021. map here: https://goo.gl/maps/xxUxKo4Whan3TgET9
*Update for 2023. One of the huge century old White Oak trees died over last winter. I am creating a Free Little Library out of the remaining 12' trunk and will add another reading bench and updated beautification.
Thank you for sharing and any support you can offer.- Bill
