On August 7, 2019 after a healthy pregnancy my daughter was born via emergency cesarean not breathing and weighing 4lbs 10oz. We were told she wasn’t going to survive after she was placed on a ventilator because tests showed there was no brain activity present. Miraculously after a few days her body began to recover and she has shown signs of some activity but we have a long road ahead. Due to trauma sustained during labor she was diagnosed with Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy, a lower brain stem injury and she suffers from dysphasia. Because of injuries I sustained during surgery (kidney failure, TTP and ongoing issues with SVT I am unable to return to work as planned and money is needed for her ongoing care as well as household bills and necessities because we have exhausted savings.
