The Peace Bus Drive For Socks & Blankets

Tacoma City Council passed an ordinance on October 1st that will prohibit erecting tents in parks in Tacoma. This ban on tents in parks will take effect on December 1st which is less than 2 months away. So what are we going to do about it? The Peace Bus plans to offer those homeless individuals socks and blankets to help them during this winter season. Starting on Dec.1st, the day the tent ban takes effect, The Peace Bus will begin to distribute socks and blankets to the homeless each weekend throughout the month. We are asking the people of Tacoma to donate in order to make this humanitarian aid opportunity possible. EVERY dollar donated to the fund will go towards buying socks and blankets to people in need many of which will be effected by the tent ban. We thank you so much for your support! It is the least we can do for those who are being removed from public parks and places where they call home. If we are to create a better community we must start treating one other as neighbors and human beings.
