CMRA Community Relief Fund
In hard times, they say it takes a Village, but at CMRA, we say it takes a resort. We at the Copper Mtn Resort Association realize that our community members have suffered during COVID, and this fund it meant to help them by providing grocery store gift certificates, so they may buy food for themselves and their families.
These unprecedented times bring a new turn of events and new challenges on a weekly basis. Currently Summit County is in level red, meaning that our restaurants are closed to inside dining, and occupancy of shops and lodging is severely restricted. Even though we are all very fortunate that the lifts continue to turn, and outside recreation opportunities remain, many of our community members are working fewer hours or none at all making it difficult to pay bills or buy food.
Thus bringing us to our request. We’ve created a new fund, the CMRA Community Relief Fund, whose sole purpose is to provide grocery gift cards for those in our community needing food assistance. 100% of all donations will go directly towards helping those in need.
The initial goal is to raise $25,000 to start the program, with an ultimate target of $50,000. We will be administering the Grocery gift cards through the Copper Mountain Resort Association Office to those community members that are hourly wage earners working less than 50% of their normal schedule.
Funds to support the Community Relief Fund will be collected entirely from donations. To date, and even before the launch of this program, we have donations of $1,000 from the Copper Mountain Resort Association, The Village at Copper, and Real Estate at Copper Mountain. Copper Mountain Resort has also offered to match the community donations up to $5,000.
Please help us fund this extremely worthwhile endeavor so that we may help those most in need of assistance.
