My mom is Celeste Brooks. She is the Postmaster on Ocracoke. On September 6 hurricane Dorian send 3 feet of water into her home and she, Quinten and Shayna went into the attic for refuge. They were rescued by Steve Wilson who came right to the front door in his boat. She lost everything and has no insurance. Her landlord also had no flood insurance. My mom is one of the strongest people I know. She is always the first one to volunteer and help others and never puts herself ahead of anyone else. Now she needs help. She has to replace everything for 2 teenage kids and herself and her home.
