It Takes a Village

LONG POST: As many of you are aware I am having a baby in just a couple of weeks. She is such a blessing and at the same time she is going to put me out of work for the month of June. With that being said as a hairstylist I won't be receiving PTO or paid maternity leave because I'm self employeed. With no partner or family in the picture to help me I am reaching out to you my other family. Many have reached out asking how they can help me, seeing the father isn't in the picture nor will be. When we were together he was abusive with me and drugs as well. I was forced to get a restraining order against him to protect myself and my unborn child. During this pregnancy I've been incredibly sick and changed my schedule to adapt and be sure I didn't end up on bed rest. I have Hyperemesis which only occurs in 2% of pregnancies. There isn't a cure for it so I've had to work as much as I can through it and be grateful she is ok. I have home health care that luckily my insurance covers along with over 6 medications I take daily to help with other things I've endured during this as well, The expences I have each month exceed what I have saved and I need help. I don't have money set aside as the move I had to endure on such short notice wiped my savings account clean along with any expenses I've had with purchases that are needed to prepare for Lola. I don't like to ask for help but I'm at a point where my options have ran out and I'm out of time seeing my daughter will be here very soon.
