I’m creating this GoFundMe for my dear friend Amanda. I actually haven’t seen her since college but I can tell by following her on social that she’s as much of a free spirit now as she was then and I admire her endless love for her son Ollie and her zest for life. She’s a single mother and she has cancer. It has spread throughout her body and most recently, she decided to transfer to palliative care so she can enjoy the rest of her time with Ollie to the fullest.My heart is broken for her and Ollie. One evening I reached out to my local mom group for advice and suggestions for something I can give or make for them and all of a sudden something magical happened, the mamas spoke and within minutes a lovely mama had donated her cabin in Big Bear, another mama offered a free photo session and another mama who owns a weighted blanket company donated a blanket so they could cuddle every minute of the day and then somebody suggested a GoFundMe.Amanda and Ollie will be visiting Big Bear in early June. Her best friend and her son are flying out from Colorado and I would love your help in making this trip extra special and worry-free. I’d like to use this fund to cover extra costs such as flights, rental car, yummy food for the cabin and anything else they may need during the week-long stay in Big Bear.
