Birthing a Midwife

The time has come for me to finally make this dream a reality. I have been a supporter of midwives and midwifery for over 20 years. I am going to jump in with both feet and begin my training as a midwife. The path to becoming a midwife is a challenging one, including being an apprentice with no pay for 3 years, being on call for births and copious amounts of studying. As a single mom, I am not quite sure how to make it all happen, but I know that if I leap the net will appear.

I have crossed the first hurdle; I have enrolled in school and will travel to San Diego once a week for the next 3 years.


Some people say, "But you own a company, why should I give you money?" The Sanctuary is a labor of love. I am immensely grateful that we have been in business for almost 8 years! However, this is a job just like yours and I live paycheck to paycheck like many people do. Once I start attending birth, (which I hope will be very soon) I will need to cut my responsibilities and therefore my pay. I would be immensely grateful if you would be willing to support my journey and allow me to continue to deepen the way that I touch families lives and make a difference on the planet...thank you in advance for your time and generosity.
