We are a group of history buffs and gear heads just north of Corning, NY. We restore and maintain a wide variety of historical machines, and currently have the honor of restoring a historic 1921 Vulcan Saddle tank locomotive originally built for the Forschner Contracting Company based out of Chicago, Illinois. Our goal is to have this locomotive fully restored and made operational so it can be used as an educational tool for those who share our passion for rail history.
Restoring a steam locomotive is a complex and expensive process. These funds will help us cover materials, tooling, transportation, research, and outside help when needed. Every dollar will go directly toward the restoration process, ensuring the locomotive can be safely operated and shared with the community. We want to make this project a resource for learning and inspiration, connecting people of all ages to the rich history of steam railroading.
Our first goal is to raise the funds to have the saddle tank that wraps around the boiler rebuilt.
Any support is greatly appreciated. Your contribution will help restore this locomotive and share its story with the community. Thank you for considering a donation and for being part of this journey!
