This summer, I’m getting back on the saddle for my third annual cycling fundraiser in support of refugee communities in Hertfordshire. I work in the refugee charity sector, and every year I cycle to raise funds for causes close to my heart.
This year, I’ll be cycling 183 miles (that’s nearly 300 kilometres!) from St Albans to Brighton and back, to raise money for an amazing youth group in St Albans supporting young refugees.
The group provides a safe and welcoming space for newly arrived young people to learn English and connect with others, especially during the summer holidays when there are no ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) classes available elsewhere.
Each session costs £35 per hour to run, and we want to raise as much as we can so no young person is left behind due to language barriers or isolation.
Please consider donating — every pound helps us fund more sessions, and keeps this essential support going over the summer.
Thank you so much for supporting this cause.
Let’s make every mile count. ❤️
