17th Reigate Scout Group

On Thursday 28th March our Scout Minibus was stolen from outside our Scout centre, after a day, our minibus has been found. However it was torched, after having the engine completely removed.

Thank you to everyone who shared our post and for all the support we have received - the power of social media clearly helped as it was someone who saw the message that found it locally. Unfortunately whoever stole our minibus does not care about the impact this will have for us as a Group

Now the search for a new minibus begins, and the funds needed to cover any shortfall between what the insurance company pays out and what a new minibus will cost us plus the additional security to try and prevent any future damage or theft. Hard work ahead but we will come back stronger for it. If you wish to support us in our search for a new bus please donate where you can. We have a number of camps, events and activities for our young people coming up in the next few months, without a new bus some of these may not be possible.
