I have decided to take on the challenge of cycling the distance from my home in Clonberne to the FirstLight office on North Brunswick St, Dublin (176km) on a stationary exercise bike next Monday May 4th-Tuesday May 5th. I will be documenting my progress on my Facebook page “Baby Noel Heneghan Barn Dance”.

For those of you who do not already know why I’m doing this, FirstLight is a charity very close to my own heart as, in 2001 my brother Noel passed away from cot death and FirstLight supported my family through their loss. Unfortunately, due to the situation we’re in, fundraisers that were planned for FirstLight can no longer take place.  FirstLight provide an amazing service to families who have lost a child up to 18 years. The funds raised from this will allow those services and their 24 hour helpline to continue as usual. 

I understand this is a very tough time for people financially, but even a donation of €5 would mean the world to me and to so many families who depend on the work of FirstLight.
