170 years empowering young people—help us continue

Thousands of children and young people will stop receiving vital drug education and life skills support if we can’t continue delivering our work.

Last year Hope UK worked with over 27,000 children and young people across the country and delivered drug education sessions to parents and carers, teachers, youth workers, and other adults. Amongst them were 870 teachers in Worcestershire.

Dr Lisa McNally is Director of Public Health at Worcestershire County Council. She said: “This fantastic training equips educators with the knowledge to recognise signs and symptoms of drug use and gain a better understanding of the issues in an ever-changing drug use landscape. They will be able to identify at-risk young people early and intervene appropriately.... ultimately reducing the likelihood of drug use.”

Drug prevention works! It is evidence-based and covers drug knowledge and life skills – tools that will equip children to navigate the complex world they are growing up in and keep themselves safe from harm.

We urgently need to raise £300,000. Without these funds our work is at risk. The first phase of our fundraising effort is this GoFundMe campaign, with an initial goal of £100,000.
