Stop the SR 169 Asphalt Plant!
www.noasphalt169.com & www.savethecedarriver.com & https://www.facebook.com/groups/SR169asphalt
The environment is FRAGILE and The Cedar River is running out of time.
The King County Council, without public comment or an EIS, rezoned the property to Industrial. Now King County is processing a
Permit to allow for an asphalt plant. This site is directly on SR 169 and literally a stone's throw away from the Cedar River.
Directly above the site as well as on both sides of the river are neighborhoods that will be impacted.
We have to stop this plant from being built and ruining the quality of the river and the health and wellness of nearby residents.
The Cedar River is a food source for the Orca's and other wildlife. Already the Salmon runs have been decimated from human activity.
King County has spent Millions of dollars for habitat restoration in an attempt to restore a healthy river and return of the
salmon runs. By allowing an industrial site and asphalt plant next to the river only complicates and sets back restoration.
By donating to this fund, you will be contributing to the fight against the building of the asphalt plant and for that matter any
other industrial use. . This will allow us to have legal representation to navigate the complex issues of fighting King County to vote
to rezone this lot as well as to deny any and all permits for this plant to move forward.
Your contribution will save help to stop Industrialization of the Cedar River and keep the Rural Area RURAL.
