My name is Rachel, and I will be turning fifteen at the end of this month. To celebrate, my friends and I are holding our second annual “Scoop-a-thon” fundraiser to support several ranches who use rescued horses to serve abused and at-risk youth. Part of the money is also being donated to a therapeutic riding stable for children with disabilities.
Essentially, my friends and I are seeking businesses and individuals who are willing to sponsor us for each bucket of manure we fill. (You can also make a flat donation. We are very grateful for any help you can give us!)
This year we are excited to double the number of ranches we support, which means we will also need to double the money we raise so we can give each ministry as much as possible.
Last year, we filled one hundred twenty-six buckets, raised over 2,000 dollars, and were thrilled to give the money to Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch (in Oregon) and Hearts Landing Ranch. Now we are expanding our outreach to Redemption Youth Ranch and His Mountaintop Ministries.
These ranches are close to my heart because my goal is to one day have a similar ranch overseas, so I leap at the chance to partner with them in any way possible. I currently volunteer at Hearts Landing and His Mountaintop Ministries and hope to intern at Crystal Peaks when I turn eighteen.
Would you be willing to join us in helping to support these ranches as they support children in our community?
