150 miles in March for Autism and ADHD awareness.

Hi
This march , we (Anju and Sheela) -two mother on a mission- are taking on a 150 miles run/walk challenge to raise funds for NANA( Nepalese Additional Needs Awareness). As our child, ( Anju’s daughter 11 years old and Sheela’s son 8 years and 5 years old) is diagnosed with autism, they are with a deep love for their iPad, going out for the day and much more. But like many individuals with autism, our child faces unique challenges in areas like communication, social interaction and sensory processing. These challenges can be overwhelming and exhausting for them in simple tasks like going to the shop or interacting with other.
As mother of autistic children, we know firsthand the struggle that comes with raising neurodiverse children, especially in the Nepali community, where awareness about Autism and ADHD is still lacking. Too many families suffer in silence overwhelmed by confusion, stigma and a lack of support .But we refuse to let this continue. Together, we can walking and running for every child who feels different, for every parent who feels lost, and for the future where our community truly understand and embrace neurodiversity.
By donating, you will help NANA.
NANA aims:
1. To raise awareness about ASD and ADHD with Nepali community.
2. To engage with local schools to help support children and families.
3. To provide information in Nepali that is culturally sensitive.
4. To provide training opportunities for families.
5. To contact and create relationships social prescriber for example GPs.
6. Educational resources: Providing the tools and resources in a way that suits their unique needs
7. Sensory-friendly activities and Outings: Helping to enjoy new experiences in environments that are tailored to their sensory needs, promoting their wellbeing and mental health.
8. Create more inclusive and accepting communities.
Every mile, we complete is a step toward awareness, acceptance and the change. But we can not do this alone, we need your support.
Please donate whatever you can-every pound makes a difference in changing lives. Let’s stand together for a world where all children, regardless of their abilities, are valued, understood and supported. Let’s stand together for a future where no Nepali family feels alone in their journey.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity and belief in this cause. Together, we can make a lasting impact.

With Gratitude
